Accountant/Bookkeeper
We are looking for a full-time person that is motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and has a passion for accounting.
Our firm works closely with a quality client base across a range of industries. You will play a key role in providing various compliance services as well as working closely with the Senior Manager and/or Partner on such matters as tax planning and advice. Although challenging at times this role will see you develop your technical skills as well as enhance your interpersonal skills as you build strong relationships with your assigned portfolio of clients.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Preparation of BAS, tax returns and financial statements.
• Preparation of FBT returns.
• Preparation of payroll and Super.
• Liaising with ATO and other regulatory bodies when required.
• Possessing the ability to work well with the team to ensure clients’ work is completed within the time frame allocated.
• Performing bookkeeping and possessing knowledge of tax and accounting procedures.
Skills and Experience
• Minimum three year of current local experience in accounting Public Practice.
• Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills and attention to detail.
Experience using the following software a benefit:
Sage (Handisoft, Practice Manager, Time and Billing, Handiledger and Handitax)
MYOB, Xero, BGL, Quicken / Reckon

We are currently seeking a highly motivated senior accountant to join our team!
Our firm works closely with a quality client base across a range of industries. You will play a key role in providing various compliance services as well as working closely with the Senior Manager and/or Partner on such matters as tax planning and advice. Although challenging at times this role will see you develop your technical skills as well as enhance your interpersonal skills as you build strong relationships with your assigned portfolio of clients.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and business activity statements for all business entities, as well as assisting with the management of our client base across a variety of industries, identifying compliance concerns and opportunities as they arise, and researching and providing advice on technical matters. The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals.
• Exposure to or management of clients.
• High level of interpersonal skills.

• MYOB, Xero, BGL, Quicken / Reckon
• Previous experience in other cloud-based accounting programs is preferable. Any other accounting software knowledge would be a bonus.
